WINSLOW TWP. BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

PRESS RELEASE
11/01/2010 4:39 PM

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, CAMDEN COUNTY
BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

Customers of Winslow Township Water Department were notified on Friday October 29, 2010 of a problem with our drinking water due to the presence of E. coli in a water quality test that resulted in our water system exceeding the maximum contaminant level under the Total Coliform Rule. Our customers were advised to boil the water before using as precautionary measure.

We are pleased to report that the subsequent water quality testing show the water quality to be safe.

THE BOIL WATER ADVISORY IS LIFTED and it is no longer necessary to boil your water before using. The following measures are strongly encouraged at this time:

Run your water faucets for 3-5 minutes to flush your service connection and interior plumbing with water from the service main.
Empty and clean your automatic ice makers and water chillers.
Water reservoirs in tall buildings should be drained and refilled.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact the Winslow Township Water Department on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30 pm at 609-567-0700. Thank you.
