Subject: Appeal to members of Winslow Community

Dear Members of Winslow Community,

Can you please help with an urgent food need in our Township. During our time of Thanksgiving and counting our blessings I plead that we reflect on those less fortunate in these devastating economic time. We've been blessed with much and here is a chance to share some of that back to our community needs. I contacted the Township for where the need was greatest and they referred me to the Health Dept. From there I was referred to Joe & Debbie Haigh of Sicklerville United Methodist Church and the Thanksgiving Outreach. 150 families are in need of a Thanksgiving Day meal this is up from 50 last year. Families are identified by our School Nurses as to families in need. Our Dealership would happily accept any food donations or if easier monetary donations of any amount could be made out to SUMC memo -Thanksgiving Outreach. “As my father taught me manage the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves”. So believe me when I say any amount will be blessed and multiply to feed.

Ways you can help:
1. Ask each employee, friend, and relative to please bring in a food item accumulate and drop it
at Stones Camping World or if you need call my cell and I will arrange pick it up myself.

2. Make a monetary amount of any amount will bless someone else’s family.

3. Contact others by phone or forward this email or by word of mouth as members
as possible.

Food Choices needed:

  • Any 2 Litre bottles of Juice (Prefer not to be Soda)
  • Any canned vegetables
  • Any boxes of stuffing
  • Any canned cranberry sauce
  • Any boxes of instant potatoes
  • Any boxes of Jell-O
  • In lieu of turkeys supermarket 10.00 gift cards will be given so if family has infants they may choose formula instead.
  • We will highly appreciate anything that you can do for the unfortunate in our community.

Thank You in advance and God bless you and your families.

WINSLOW TWP. BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

PRESS RELEASE
11/01/2010 4:39 PM

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, CAMDEN COUNTY
BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

Customers of Winslow Township Water Department were notified on Friday October 29, 2010 of a problem with our drinking water due to the presence of E. coli in a water quality test that resulted in our water system exceeding the maximum contaminant level under the Total Coliform Rule. Our customers were advised to boil the water before using as precautionary measure.

We are pleased to report that the subsequent water quality testing show the water quality to be safe.

THE BOIL WATER ADVISORY IS LIFTED and it is no longer necessary to boil your water before using. The following measures are strongly encouraged at this time:

Run your water faucets for 3-5 minutes to flush your service connection and interior plumbing with water from the service main.
Empty and clean your automatic ice makers and water chillers.
Water reservoirs in tall buildings should be drained and refilled.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact the Winslow Township Water Department on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30 pm at 609-567-0700. Thank you.
